"Our
Hearts Burning Within Us" will be the
keynote address at the third annual
Central Maryland Formation Day held on
Saturday, March 10 at Mount St. Mary’s
College and Seminary.
In
addition to this address, this celebration
features a prayer celebration, liturgy of
the Eucharist with the Most Rev. W.
Francis Malooly, Auxiliary Bishop for the
Western Vicariate presiding, leadership
sessions and 19 workshops. Catechists,
parish social ministers, youth ministers,
liturgy teams, pastoral leaders, Catholic
schoolteachers, and anyone interested in
growing in their faith can enjoy the
celebration.
The
keynote speaker will be Dr. Carole M.
Eipers. Eipers received a Masters of
Pastoral Studies degree from Loyola and a
Doctor of Ministry from the Graduate
Theological Foundation. For over twenty
years she has served in the Archdiocese of
Chicago as a teacher, Parish DRE, Youth
Minister, Pastoral Associate. She is
currently the director of catechesis.
Eipers has also published many articles in
the field of catechesis and Sheed &
Ward published her recent book, "Tabletalk".
The
celebration is sponsored by the Catholic
Education Ministries (CEM) Center of
Central Maryland and the Archdiocese of
Baltimore. CEM of Central Maryland
provides leadership and services,
including consultation, formation programs
and resources, in religious education and
family and youth ministry for the Roman
Catholic parishes and schools of Carroll,
Frederick, and Washington counties. The
Center furthers the proclamation of the
Good News of Jesus Christ through
leadership formation, catechist formation
and volunteer training.
