(2/5/04) The ninth

Seminary on February 13-15, 2004. The
weekend retreat is open to Catholic youth
and young adults in ninth grade through
age 33. Spaces are still available, but

"Mount 2000…and
Beyond!" is a Eucharistic retreat weekend
organized by Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. In
its ninth year, this retreat seeks to
assist young people in developing a closer
relationship with Jesus Christ through the
ministry of the Church. In particular,
"Mount 2000…and Beyond!" seeks to promote
the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the
Eucharist (the celebration of Holy Mass
and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament) as
profound encounters with the Lord that
will encourage young people to grow in
life-long discipleship.
The Franciscan
Friars of the Renewal will lead this
year’s retreat, the theme of which is
"Behold the Lamb of God." The Eucharistic
weekend will feature inspiring talks,
music and workshops. New topics include
talks on chastity and vocation. The
Sacrament of Reconciliation will be
available throughout the weekend.
Martin Doman,
music director of St. Joseph's Parish in
York, PA, will also be part of the
weekend. Doman has written, performed, and
ministered with music for over eight
years. He has planned and produced two
albums of Catholic worship entitled
"Praying Twice," and "Image In Love." An
experienced Catholic worship leader, Doman
has led worship at several youth
conferences, worked as a campus minister,
and as a youth minister and music director
for LIFE TEEN's Regional Hub in Littleton,
CO.
