Town Manager's

Streets:
- Staff cleaned and
removed weeds from East & West Main Street
- Staff has repaired a
number of street lights
- Staff repaired a few
parking meters
- Staff cold patched a
number of streets around town
Water:
- Staff is continuing to
inject
coagulant treatment into the raw water line from
Rainbow Lake at Well #3 in an effort to improve the
performance of the roughing filters.
- The roughing filters are
being backwashed twice everyday and the DE filters are
being done once every other day
- Staff replaced the
pump at well #3 and well #4 this month. Both
of them went bad -- the pump at well #4 was still
under warranty
- Water production and
consumption. We produced and purchased an
average of 335,850 gpd. We consumed an average
of 306,737 gpd.
- The difference is
"Backwash Water" ...(12.5%). We purchased
446,000 gals. of water from MSM this month.
- 49.5% of this water
came from wells
- 4.2% of this
water came from Mt. St. Mary's
- 46.3% of this water
came from Rainbow Lake
Wastewater:
- Staff is preparing
to de-sludge Lagoon #2 at the wastewater treatment
plant
- We received about 4.9
inches of precipitation this month (the average is
4.30 inches)
- We are 1.6" short on
precipitation over the last six months. The
average precipitation for the period from April 1
thru September 30 is 24.20" and we have received
22.60"
- Wastewater Treatment:
- We treated an average
of 501,000 gpd (consumed 306,737 gpd) which means
that 39% of the wastewater treated this month was
"wild water"
- We exceeded the
plant's design capacity on four days in the Month of
September
- We experienced no
sanitary sewerage spills during the month of
September 9/01

Trash:
- Trash pickup days will
remain Monday & Thursday for the month of October
Parks:
- Staff has been
performing standard mowing & trimming
- Staff re-seeded grass on
the water line excavation areas in Community Park
- The Prefabricated
bathroom for Community Park is expected to be on
site within the next two weeks

with a licensed contractor to have a number of
leaking oil drums removed from the Scott Road Farm

Resident Deputies to discuss some of the student
housing problems
