Welcome
to Messiah United Methodist Church. Whether
you are a new resident or a visitor, we are
happy to have you come to our church.
A Place to
Worship God
Our worship
services include a blend of traditional,
gospel, and contemporary praise music. Each
Sunday our pastor Dr. Arthur "Art" D.
Thomas, Jr. preaches Biblical sermons out of
a strong evangelical faith commitment with
emphasis upon spiritual development and
renewal.
As a part
of the morning worship, he also has a
children's sermon for the young people
before they go down for Junior Church where
the children receive instruction about God
and the Church while enjoying a snack,
craft, or activity.
At the
close of the service he prays at the altar
rail for any with special needs. Our music
director Leslie Gabler leads choirs
consisting of children, youth, and adults
and directs Christmas and Lenten cantatas
each year. The Chancel Choir often gives
concerts at area institutions.
A Place
for You

to serve you and our community in the name
of Jesus Christ. If you have any need for
counseling, spiritual guidance, or
assistance of any kind, please contact
Pastor Art Thomas at (410) 756- 6092. He is
a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological
Seminary, Union Theological Seminary in
Virginia, and Wesley Theological Seminary.
He teaches spiritual formation and church
history part-time at area theological
seminaries and serves as a spiritual
director on the Walk to Emmaus weekends. |
